Ever since 1988 I’ve known that Big DRILL Car was the best band in the world. I remember hearing the “Small Block” demo for the first time (30 years ago) and thinking, “this is the best band in the world.” I remember feeling the energy in their live shows (I’ve seen a lot of their live shows) and thinking, “this is the best band in the world.” I used love that Frank didn’t use a mic stand, ever. He didn’t even have a mic stand on stage. The drums and amps would be set up and turned on, ready for a show, and the microphone would be sitting on the ground, front and center, where it would lay until Frank took it for the ride of its lifetime. It’s surprising that in the band’s 30-year existence this is only their second Chris Shary created shirt; But the timing couldn’t be better – As Big DRILL Car celebrates the 30-year anniversary of “Small Block” they also celebrate their friendship with Chris … Rock on doods! -Greg Jacobs (long time Big Drill Car manager).
