Back when I was a young person (thousands of years ago), I crossed paths with New Jersey’s very own ADRENALIN O.D. a few times. I saw them play in Hollywood in 1984 when the Olympics came to town. The next year I interviewed them for my well intended little Xerox fanzine that I had at the time. They even woke me up out of a sound sleep to urge me to get up and draw something for them.  These were the days when you soaped stamps to re-use them for punk rock mail correspondence. AOD were a great band. They played this hybrid of tuneful melodic punk (based on of influences from the original 77-78 punk scene) and super fast, blistering hardcore. The members of AOD were all very funny people and (gasp!) actually had a sense of humor in their songs! This is a concept that will never go out of style. The song “Rock And Roll Gas Station” was a big favorite from their cannon, with lyrics inspired by an actual gas station some of the band members visited. A couple of the dudes that worked there looked like members of The Necros (in the longhaired phase of their career). That, my friends, is another layer of silliness that I’ve woven into this drawing. We hope you like this fine shirt. We are proud of it; and we’ll be sure to make sure there are plenty of large sizes to go around! -Brian Walsby
