LE BUTCHERETTES/ BRIAN WALSBY FRESH PRODUCE (T SHIRT)                                                              SEE DETAIL

Last year I toured with the Melvins. Buzz had seen this band (Le Butcherettes) and was impressed enough to offer these gals (and one guy) an opening slot. They had this primal energy onstage and their songs were all great. Terri is a compelling performer onstage who could give anyone a run for their money; flailing around, seemingly speaking in tongues, and making several romps into the audience. She may even make her way to the top of a merch table far far away from the stage. Lia (their drummer) was the best drummer I saw all last year. Needless to say, I was impressed. Le Butcherettes have been nice enough to let us do a shirt with them and I must say that this is one of my favorites we’ve done to date. Charles really knocked it out of the park (design wise) with this one. We are stoked beyond belief to offer this shirt. We hope you are too. Please note that we have added Ladies fits for this one. They are printed on Bella “Favorite Tees” and they are a snug fit. -Brian Walsby

JELLO BIAFRA/ BRIAN WALSBY FREEDOM OF SPEECH  (T SHIRT)                                                            SEE DETAIL

Jello Biafra was a huge influence on me as a kid. I enjoyed (and continue to enjoy) his biting sarcasm. As a nerdy teenager, I really got into it.
As the lead singer of the Dead Kennedys, Jello was one of the pivotal front men of the eighties hardcore punk rock scene. Flash forward a million years later and after befriending Jello (through the Melvins): Jello is still quite busy with plenty of projects (musical and otherwise). He just keeps on going, and that is quite admirable in my book. We talked about doing some sort of t-shirt at the start of the year and together (along with Charles Cardello), we finally came up with this one. A combination of a take on the old Norman Rockwell "Freedom Of Speech" painting with Jello's "What Would Jello Do?", which is a spoof that he uses based on...well, you know.
We hope you like this one. It was fun to do! -Brian Walsby

THE BIRTHDAY PARTY/ BRIAN WALSBY BRITISH PRESS (T SHIRT)                                                            SEE DETAIL

From Brian Walsby:

It’s hard to know where to begin in explaining an opportunity like this. Melbourne, Australia's The Birthday Party are probably in my top five bands of ALL TIME. I don't think I have gone a week since 1986 (when I discovered them, a few years after they disbanded) without listening to them. They are THAT important. A lot of others have obviously thought so too over the years. I don't think I will waste any time explaining them to you. If you are here reading this you already know. I would like to especially thank the bands guitarist/sometimes drummer Mick Harvey for being sufficiently amused at my drawings of the band to sort of wave me through on the idea of it. That is very nice of him, and we are pretty thrilled.

So here it is, with the theme being the quintet version of the Birthday Party, and the title of the shirt no doubt inspired by the band moving to England in 1980 and being horrified at most of the bands they saw there. This resulted in some humorous dealings with the press when they began to get popular over there (while blowing most of the competition off of the stage). Look it up! We hope you enjoy this shirt. Thanks.

ADAM FAUCETT/ BRIAN WALSBY FOREHEAD. GLASSES. BEARD. (T SHIRT)                                            SEE DETAIL

I met Adam (and his friend William) last year when he opened a weeks worth of shows on the Buzz tour. I was floored by his songs and his voice. After the second show (which featured a killer cover of one of Tim Buckley's songs), I bought his latest album (he has four under his belt) and was loved it. I suppose I am not an expert on current singer/songwriters, but I like almost everything I have heard by Adam. I am a big fan and that’s why I wanted to do this shirt. The fact that it almost has this "Batman" subliminal effect is a bonus. -Brian Walsby

Adam Faucett is a very talented fellow. Buy all of his shit, see him live when he plays in your town, and buy this shirt.
